How to Use AuditBricks
A step-by-step guide to capture issues, organise projects, and generate site audit reports.
AuditBricks lets you create projects, divide them into locations, record issues with photos and details, and generate customised site audit reports. Follow these steps to get started and make the most of the app.
1. Install the app
Download AuditBricks from the App Store or Google Play and open it on your device.
2. Create your first project
Create a new project for your site or job. Add client information, project name, and any other details you want to appear on your reports.
3. Add locations
Divide the project into locations such as floors, apartments, rooms, sections, or zones (for example “Floor 1”, “Flat 2A”, “Lobby”). This helps you keep every snag tied to the correct place.
4. Record snags and defects
For each location, add snags with all the details you need:
- Take or attach photos of the issue.
- Add a title and description of the snag.
- Set the assignee/contractor, status, date raised and fix-by date.
- Optionally add extra comments.
5. Annotate photos
Use the built-in photo markup tools to clearly show each issue:
- Draw arrows, rectangles, circles, lines, and freehand shapes.
- Blur or pixelate sensitive information in a photo.
- Add text labels and numbers to highlight specific areas.
6. Work offline on site
AuditBricks is designed to work fully offline. You can add and update projects, locations, and issues while you are on site, even without an internet connection.
7. Generate PDF & Excel reports
When you’re ready to share progress or handover, generate reports:
- Create PDF and Excel reports filtered by project, location, assignee, status, and more.
- Include client and company details, auditor name, and photos in your reports.
8. Customise labels and terminology
In Settings, you can adapt AuditBricks to your workflow:
- Rename labels such as “Snag”, “Location”, and “Assignee” (for example “Defect”, “Flat”, “Contractor”).
- Adjust date formats and other options so reports match your standards.
9. Send feedback
We’d love to hear from you. Use the in-app options or email support@appculus.com to send suggestions, bug reports, or feature requests. Your feedback helps us improve AuditBricks.
